What two days inside the working actually gives you

You have run solo workings for years. You already know the difference between a rite you read about and one you held in real time. Here is what the live room adds.

🔥 Real-time transmission, not playback

Some things only land when the practice happens live and you are in it as it unfolds. Jason and Temple lead each session in real time, reading the room, adjusting, answering what comes up. As you settle in on the night, you feel the difference between studying a working and being moved through one.

🜍 The old turning, worked live

On the longest day, the Holly King takes the throne from the Oak King, because this is the moment the light starts its return to the dark. We work that turn together, with the tarot path running underneath it, in a room of people who take the practice as seriously as you do. Solo practice has a ceiling, and you have probably felt it. Holding the same working at the same hour changes the charge in the room.

☀️ The year, taken stock of at its height

The solstice is the longest day, the sun at full output, everything you planted now visible above ground. You name what has grown, claim it, and aim the back half of your year before the light starts to wane. When the working is behind you, the rest of the year opens from a different place.

Testimonials

See what our students are saying

My experience during the Equinox Working was deeply profound and empowering. Each day was crafted in a way that was challenging, uplifting, and highly motivating. The shamanistic approach Jason takes creates a safe container in which to explore the depths of the psyche.

"The Equinox Working helped me break into my subconscious and take a deep dive into some of the classified information that I had kept locked away, so I could sort it out and use it to better myself, my relationships, my life."

"I came away feeling optimistic about my own autonomy, with new tools to grow and revise my life in a more positive way. I feel like I got a needed firmware upgrade. Quite empowered."

"Jason's highly opinionated and not-fucking-around introduction to magic. The best bang for time and money to help any aspirant separate the wheat from the chaff. You feel you can trust him to give you no BS, just theory and practice."

The shape of the two days

A working that follows the rite from circle to close

This is not a webinar you dip in and out of. A working is a contained window where, for a set stretch of time, everything you do points at one thing. Across June 20 and 21 we move through the Midsummer rite in sequence, live: we cast the circle, draw down the sun at its height, sit inside the old turning of the Oak King and the Holly King, raise power together, and ground it. Running underneath all of it is a tarot path through the Lovers, the Chariot, and Strength. This Solstice working is one station in the larger Magician's Year, Magick.Me's distillation of the Wheel of the Year. Exact session times are published to registrants ahead of the solstice.

Day One — Cast the circle and draw down the sun
We open by casting the circle and calling the quarters, weighted to the south and to fire, where the season lives. Then we draw down the sun at the top of its arc, the one day a year it stands at full height. You look honestly at the year you have actually had, name what is at its peak and what never grew, and set what the back half of the year is for. By the end of the first day the work has a direction.
The Oak King and the Holly King
At the center of the Midsummer rite is the old turning: the Holly King takes the throne from the Oak King on the very day the sun is brightest, because from here the days begin to shorten. We work that turn directly. It is the plainest lesson the solstice has to teach, that the light peaks and the dark is already on its way back, and it is built so a newer practitioner can follow and a seasoned one still meets the edge.
Day Two — Raise the power and ground it
We raise power together and aim it: at what you came to move, and at the back half of your year. Then we bring the working to a clean close and ground it, the old way, with something to eat and drink and a few minutes in plain company before you step back out. You leave with the year aimed and the practice settled. Nothing left hanging.
The tarot path and the materials
Threaded through both days is a path-working across three cards: the Lovers, the Chariot, and Strength. A digital workbook arrives three days before so you walk in prepared, the path laid out card by card, plus every supporting resource for the working. Replays of all sessions stay yours.

Jason Louv

Founder, Magick.Me · Author, host of the Ultraculture podcast

Jason Louv has taught practical magick to hundreds of thousands of students through Magick.Me and the Ultraculture podcast, and written for outlets from VICE to Boing Boing. His teaching is plainspoken and grounded: magick as spiritual technology, the work of turning the life you were handed by circumstance into one you actually chose. Some of his own teachers spent decades in serious practice, and he passes on what holds up and leaves out what does not. He has led seasonal live workings for years. Temple co-leads, and handles the craft behind every session.
